Feeling creative? Everyone has at least a few terrible tee's in their wardrobe or closet. Use these tips to save money on new clothes, recycle your old ones and reduce your carbon footprint while changing your style!
We have a few idea's for you to do TODAY! This post will be based around transforming your old tops into cute restyled ones for £0!!!!
Before we start, make sure that the top still fits you and you are allowed to cut or even dye it!
1. low backed tee
For this you only need-
- An old t-shirt
- A pencil
- A piece of cardboard
- Scissors or Fabric cutter
Get your t-shirt and lie it on a flat surface, then put a piece of cardboard that fits the size of the top. Slide the cardboard in between the 2 pieces of fabric (where your body would go).
Then using your pencil, mark where you want the top to be cut down to. If the pencil doesn't show up, then use a marker.
If you are using a fabric cutter then leave the cardboard in place and cut around the shape you have made.
If you are using scissors, then remove the cardboard and cut with the scissors, the shape you have marked.

2. Heart backed tee

If you are using a fabric cutter then leave the cardboard in place and cut around the shape you have made.
If you are using scissors, then remove the cardboard and cut with the scissors, the shape you have marked.
If you are more experienced in design then maybe you could add a hem around the heart or some extra design xx

3. Crop top
You will need:
This is a REALLY easy transformation!
Again, place the cardboard between the fabrics and then using a ruler, draw a horizontal line near the middle-bottom of the top, or where ever you want to cut the top too and then take out the cardboard then turn the top on it's side and do the same thing, and then again on the other.
Using the scissors then cut vertically up to the line and then cut around the line you have made.
If you wanted to, you can add a fringe or even dip dye it. You will see these later on.

4. Fringed tee with optional dip die -
For this you only need,
- An old t-shirt
- A pencil
- Scissors or Fabric cutter
- And a ruler if you want to be really precise
- Tie dye ( if using )
Get your t-shirt and lie it on a flat surface. Then using your pencil, draw the lines of where you are cutting to make the fringes ( if using a ruler) or you can do it free hand. If the pencil doesn't show up, then use a marker.
Then using scissors cut along the lines or free hand about half way up the top, then knot the bottom of each string to stop from fraying. If you are more experienced in design or want to give it ago then maybe you could dip die the fringe by placing it in a pot of die for a couple of hours.
Make sure you leave it outside to dry after dying it xx
